I have a request from a friend for information on the hardcopy language DEC uses for generating output from the VT125 terminal and from GIGI. He can capture the output stream from both units, but doesn't have any plotting hardware (like the LA34-RA) that can understand it. Based on a quick examination, it appears to be a simple ASCII command language, but we've no documentation on how to interpret it. If anyone has any experience interpreting/translating this "language", or can point me to documentation that I can get from DEC that describes the command syntax and meanings, I'd appreciate hearing about it. We've got several plotting devices that we'd like to use, as opposed to buying something specialized from DEC, and we've a considerable amount of sofware and expertise generating plots, but are completely stymied by our inability to make sense of the output from the VT125 & GIGI.
