[comp.sys.amiga] BBS Programs For the Amiga

phillip@nuchat.UUCP (Phillip Keen) (03/19/88)

I know there are not very many BBS programs out for the Amiga. The
only BBS programs I'm aware of that are available (excuse spelling) :-) for
the Amiga are TAG-BBS, Custom-BBS!, and BBS-PC!. Well, I'd like to know if
there are any other BBS programs out there that are worth looking at or
buying. If you have a BBS program or you know of a good BBS program that is
worth looking and/or buy would you please leave me mail with the following
in it:

	Name of Program
	Description of Program
Where abouts may I get the program
If Commercial, how much does it cost?
If Share Ware, how much does it cost to register it?
Any other information that you think I would need about
the perticular program you have left me mail about.

I would appreciate it very much, and who knows I might need to help you out
with something too.

Also, I am thinking about joining a big information network (like
Compuserve), which information network do you think would be the best one to
join or should I just go ahead and get PC-Pursuit and not join a big in-
formation network. It is one or the other. Your opinions and comments on
both these subjects will highly be appreciated. (Excuse grammar and spelling
errors) :-)

As several people have left messages inquiring about
BBS programs for the Amiga, it looks like some developers
out there have a market in this area... Maybe someone should take
the que, and make a BBS program which is really worthy of the Amiga?
Maybe a discusion should follow about WHAT exactly people
expect in a BBS for the Amiga?

Phillip,
Get People Link... They have *THE* best Amiga section on a commercial network,
BAR NONE! And are MUCH cheaper than CI$. Cost is about $5 per hour at 1200
baud!
