Two questions for the wise folks of Netland: 1) I want to compress and decompress(?) things as they are saved and loaded. Is there already somthing in a library somwhere to do this? (note, it need not be compatable with any other arc format, and I expect it to be a little slow). 2) Is there any communications/terminal program already available which supports *bitmapped* graphics, changes to the color registers, sound, etc? If there isn't, does anyone want a copy after I write it? Would somone like to write a BBS that supports it :-)? Look at the mfb device in X windows, then start reading the xserial mailing list, and see what you think. Looks like getting the basic mfb device would not be too hard, you might want to check it out. -- ron (rminnich@udel.edu)
