That isn't 664 columns. Actually, you can get 704 columns (these are the kind of corrections you love to make). I am currently writing this from an Amiga with a 704 column 470 (interlace) row screen. My monitor, A Sony KV-1311CR, can handle the full horizontal width, but rows >460 (230 noninterlace) are off the IBM CGA? EGA? HA! More seriously, though, since sprite DMA normally occurs after the column 640, increasing the horizontal resolution reduces the slots available for sprites, and thus sprites 6 and 7 don't work on the workbench screen. But then again... the only programs I know of that actually use sprites on the workbench screen are demos (e.g. zoing), so I don't think this one minor problem will matter much. -Matt

The example of GetMsging FaccII's reply messages wasn't wrong as I thought, just a bit confusing (ie two message ports, "FaccPort" and "FactPort"). The other problems, mistakes in the structure names and defined symbols, are for real. John
