I know this is a strange request, but there are methods to my madness.
I hope somebody from CBM can help, but if anybody knows, I would
appreciate it greatly.
I need to make the bridgecard recognize the rear floppy connector as
drive A: instead of drive B:. Why? Well I did this dumb thing, I got an
ST251 drive for the A2090 controller. Why is that dumb? I now have no place
for the 5 inch floppy drive internally for use with the bridgecard, which
I MUST have to boot the bridgecard. The only other alternative is to have
a hardcard on the PC bus to boot from, an investment I can't make, nor have
any desire to at this time. Anyway, I noticed while spying the bridgecard
carefully, that there is this interesting jumper block called "JS1" connected
to the floppy disk controller chip.
Something tells me what I want is here. There is no mention of this
in the documentation at all. Anybody have the story?
If this jumper block won't do it, I've got an X-acto and iron that will.
Either way will do, I need it pretty bad.
Thanks
