I've noticed several messages coming over the net that have two things in common: the line count says 0, and the message usually stops after only a couple of lines in the middle of a sentence. Well people, the reason is that the buffering scheme used in the UNIX tty driver only buffers up to N (~255) characters. So when you type in a message, and keep typing across the screen without using any carriage returns, most of your message is going to be LOST. I know that I get annoyed when MY messages get messed up upon submission. If you people really don't want others to read your messages, why not just not type them instead of leaving the rest of the net's readers hanging in the middle of your profound thoughts.
