Hi all!
We have a very interesting problem with our A2000/AmiGen setup.
When we first start to use the AmiGen things are ok. But after a while
we will usually lose ALL color! and get a red strip down the left side
of the screen! The AmiGen even causes the machine to GURU!! This happens
with TV*TEXT/TV*SHOW, Director etc.... When the AmiGen is NOT connected
to the machine we have NO trouble with Director, etc... SO I am sure that it
is NOT a problem with Director. Like I said, we have NO TROUBLE with the
A2000 when AmiGen is NOT connected! We have called Mimetics, but have yet
to get a reply from them!! We were looking into a better Genlock anyways and
called about the SuperGen. When told of the problems we have had with the
AmiGen, he suggested that maybe there WAS something wrong with the A2000.
He mentiond something about not ALL of the A2000 are checked at the factory
to make sure that they WILL work with a Genlock. This is NEWS to me, I have
never heard such a thing! Needless to say, I am confused! :>
If *ANYBODY* has any idea of what is going on, please, PLEASE! let me know!
We use the machine for Video Production work, and it is important that it
