Has anyone had any experience with Pacific Peripherals? What I am really interested in is the Sub-system 1000 for the A1000. It supposedly gives two A2000 slots and room for an internal drive. What I would like to know is how big a power supply does it have (can it support a couple of megs and a hard drive) Also they have a 2 meg card and a hard disk controller so if anyone has these or knows of someone with them I would appreciate any information. The supply that came with my SubSystem 500 is a "bench" supply rated as follows: (note this is an external unit!) +12V 6A Max 10A +5V 6A Max 10A -5V .5A Max 1A As far as the company goes, they seem to be a fairly small operation but competent. I am considering buying one of their SCSI (Overdrive) boards to fill the other slot in my box. The rumors I have heard indicate that they will offer an upgrade to support booting from a drive connected to their board sometime in the near future. [As you may be able to guess, my only tie with Pacific Peripherals is a small growth under my A500.] -- Lynn Kerby - Amdahl Corporation Sunnyvale, CA ...inhp4!amdahl!lfk Disclaimer: Any and all opinions expressed herein are my own and do not necessarily represent the views of anyone, especially my employer.

If anyone has some solid information on them, please post it. Nick
