[net.general] spelling program?

Has anyone written a good spelling program for UNIX?  I.e. One that
finds incorrect spellings (like "spell" sometimes does) but also offers
guesses to correct the misspelled words.  A very fine one was written
by Ralph Gorin of Stanford many years ago but, alas, it only runs on
PDP-10s and -20s.

I believe that the book cited below (in refer format)
has Pascal sources for a spell program similar
to the one on the pdp-10.
