I just borrowed a Gemini X10 and hooked it up to my A1000 and am very confused. I got it printing screen dump just fine last night, but I never got it to do an Infocom script properly. Now, whenever I do a bitmap dump, I get space between the pirint pass lines on the paper, like an extra line feed problem. More specific questions: 1) What are the 4 dip switches on the back for? How should I have them set? 2) I have used both the MPS_1000 and Epson drivers and both produce the same results for graphics (text unknown), execept that the MPS_1000 driver does not like the InitPrinter tool and prints strange characters. Should I be using a different driver? 3) My cable is simple and homemade... I have a 22 wire cable, with 10 grounds and pins 1-11 on the DB25 going to the right places on the Cent-36 connector (according to the RKM hardware manual _and_ my A1000 manual. Am I ignoring a "common" workaround? Configuration: A1000, KS33.180, WB 33.61 (A500/A2000 1.2 WB), Star Gemini X10, no Fast RAM Thanks in advance, -ethan -- Ethan R.
