michael@stb.UUCP (Michael) (04/15/88)

Technical review:
Multitasks nicely
Does not hog CPU
Has a pause feature
Uses 1.2 and FAST memory
Not copy protected
Problems:
Does not have a Screen to back gadget; you can't get to screens behind it.

Game Review:
0: This is asteroids.
1: You are in a frictionless, 0 gravity room with rubber walls, and a
bunch of objects. You have a blaster and a jetpack, they have inertia.

2: You are a Sports Hero of the future, and your beer commercial revenues
depend on how well you do in the game. There are 2 different sizes of cubues
(large and small; large ones break apart into 4 smalls when hit), and about
1/2 a dozen different colors; each color has different properties (Some
damage you when they hit, some confuse you, some REALLY confuse you.
Some just take a lot of shots to kill. And some protect you. Etc.)
Given time, the colors will change; greens will not change (they take a
lot of hits). Usually, a small cube left alone will grow, a large cube
left alone will remind you of a single cell doing mitosis.

The game has great sound effects; the first time you play be prepared to
laugh when you hear what they are.

The cubes are not your only problems--other creatures/objects/whatevers
will come out if you take to long. Some of them shoot at you, some of them
seem to be shots at you.

This game needs a LOT of chip memory--it won't run unless all of its sound
effects, etc. can be loaded into chip. [C

Overall, a good game, and certainly a nice way to take a break from a long,
hard compile or two. Or just play while make is busy.

<Sigh>. One more problem. Perry, the DEFAULTTOOL field of the disk ICON
should be DiskCopy; otherwise, workbench users can't back it up.

The game uses 3 ASSIGN's to find out where its files are; hard disk users
will have no problems.
