[some fools are glutens for punishment....]

Hi again,

After the last time I posted something "news worthy" I am a little
reluctant to try again but then any one with the name M SAINE can't be to
level headed anyway (:>).

A local company, known as Bill's Boards demonstarted their expansion
chassis for the A1000 and A500. Their product is a set of boards (3) that
expand both the A1000 and A500 with one configuration. They have a driver board
to drive a high quality/low loss cable which feeds their mother board. The
mother board is sized and drilled to fit in a baby IBM AT case (which they do
not supply). The mother board contains 6 (six) Zorro II slots and 7 (seven)
IBM PC/AT slots. The arrangement is like the A2000. Their demo was running a CBM
bridge card which was in the IBM case located about 18" from the Amiga. The
third card mentioned above is a bus termination card that is plugged in
connectors on one side for the 500 and the other side for the 1000. The one
draw back for this set is they do not fully support the additional interrupts
on the zorro II bus that caused the incompatability with the Zorro I bus. A
plus of this is that Zorro I cards will function on this bus (but willl not
fit in a IBM case).
This makes this product an expansion for both lines, allowing for the
lack of the additional interrupts. The price quoted was $495.95 for assembled,
and tested boards sans case and power supply.

I will attempt to answer any other questions or you can talk too the

Bye for now, But I will never admit that our beloved president is
not an IDIOT!!!!! (and I don't mean Reagan)
