[comp.sys.amiga] The .tech group *is* "official"

[ "The best government, is no government at all." ]

This will be the last thing I cross-post to both the regular, and .tech
amiga groups, unless the content of some future posting is *VERY* unusual.

A few days ago, I asked about the "official" status of the .tech group.
Guess I should've waited just a little longer ...

The latest "list-of-lists" just came in from Gene Spaford (in news.groups),
and comp.sys.amiga.tech is indeed listed in it. That makes it "official"
(or at least as much so as anything ever gets on USENET :-) ).

I've no idea if spaf sent out a new "creategroup" message or not, but I
would assume he did, as he's pretty good about such administrative details.

Sooooo ... if you don't start seeing the .tech group at *your* site within
the next week or so, you should talk to your News Administrator (or whomever),
and get them to update their local lists, etc.

Hopefully, others will now stop cross-posting also ...

/kim

P.S. Thanks to both Bryce Nesbitt and Bob Page for making .tech happen, as
well as to all who voted.

Oh, and BTW, did you notice Bryce's new email address: bryce@cbmvax ...
