[comp.sys.amiga] Microsoft C for the Amiga

cunniff@hpesoc1.HP.COM (Ross Cunniff) (04/22/88)

Has anybody else seen Compute!'s Amiga software buyer's guide? In it they
list both Microsoft C and QuickC as Amiga products. I talked to our local
dealer, and he said that he called Commodore about it and they confirmed
that Microsoft is porting (has ported? will port?) their C to the Amiga.
Hmmm. I'm still not convinced that this isn't some sort of misunderstanding
(e.g. MS-C runs on the bridgeboard), but if it *is* for real, it would be a
nice sign of the growing maturity of the Amiga software market. I wonder if
Ashton-Tate had anything to do with this....
