A cheap hard disk is one you already have. I have a couple ESDI drives. Can anyone help me with the controller part for a A1000. .....BJ mtgzz!bjh

You want a SCSI->ESDI adapter, like the Emulex MD21. You may need to write a driver for it to work on the various SCSI controllers on the market... the card should cost you something around $100 to control two drives. I'd really recommend selling off the ESDI drives at a swap meet (like Trenton this weekend) and buying a drive with embedded SCSI in it...
