!!!!!!! TO ALL GOMF 2.1 OWNERS !!!!!!!
The people at Hypertek/Silicon Springs have asked me to pass on the
following message to all GOMF 2.1 owners:
It seems that an error in duplicating has found its way into GOMF 2.1
The version that went out (approximately 800 of them) is actually a beta
version of 2.1, and will cause a problem after being used to recover from a
'Task Held' error. GOMF 2.1 will appear to kill the errant task, but the
machine will crash shortly afterward.
They apologize for this error, and ask that all GOMF 2.0 and 2.1 owners
send their original disks in for a free update to GOMF 2.2. GOMF 2.0 does
not have the same problem, but they feel that the 2.2 version offers
considerably better operation, and wish to allow free upgrades to 2.2 from
either 2.0 or 2.1.
If you know of anyone who has GOMF 2.1, please let them know about this.
