[comp.sys.amiga] Great Valley Perephiels?

arxt@sphinx.uchicago.edu (patrick palmer) (05/14/88)

Does anyone have any experience with the Great Vally controller/1 meg RAM
advertised in the latest Amigaworld? I would like to add a ~30meg
hard drive to my B2000, and I have been following the discussion of hard
drives on the net, but I do not recall anything on this product. I would
like to add expansion RAM, and at the current prices, I will settle for 1 meg
I am interested in knowing how this RAM will work with
expansion RAM to be added at that indefinite time when the prices drop again.
Go Amiga says they have this unit with 1 meg RAM now, so someone out there
must have one. I would be particularly interested in which drives have been
used sucessfully with their unit for the B2000.

(I should take this opportunity to note - per discussion of mailorder
businesses - that I have tried a number, and Go Amiga rates best. I have
also dealt with MCS, and have not had such bad experiences as recounted on
the net. I tend to feel that you pay less there so you should expect to get
less.)

Is the controller/1 meg memory expander just for the 2000? Or can it be
used on the 1000?
