I'm starting a market survey on existing state-of-the art components for integration into an eventual portable UNIX-in-a-box for a specialized application. Specifically, I would like to find out what processor boards, compatible memory boards, disks and controllers (disks in the range => 40Mb), etc. are ALREADY on the market and can be put together in a working box with as little custom circuitry and design as possible. This whole mess is to run UNIX, and be totally portable. Please mail names of manufacturers to ME, directly, so I can contact them for product information. If the particular component is the subject of stories or anecdotes, however, I probably don't want to get involved with it...
