The problem is this: sometimes when I enter a command on the CLI and hit <RETURN>, the command just hangs there. If I do a "status", the command is listed, but it just sits doing nothing. I can't kill it with BREAK or ^C/^D or anything short of rebooting. Has anybody else experienced this problem? There seems to be no pattern to when the problem appears. I use Conman1.1 and FACCII (512 buffers). My configuration is A1000 w) 512K, 3.5" external drive, 2-meg Starboard2 memory expansion, and VD0: virtual disk. I believe the problem is in FACCII since I have never gotten it when FACCII is not running. Thanks for any help! -- Dan Barrett ins_adjb@jhunix.UUCP barrett@cs.jhu.edu

This has been heard before (every couple of months someone posts a message like this). No it is not FaccII. If you have Facction running at the time of the ``crash'' you'll notice that Facction will still communicate to FaccII and that both processes are running fine. In the past this problem has sometimes been linked to older versions of conman.
