[comp.sys.amiga] communications with the dead?

Before anyone gets too excited about Amigas in the Soviet Union, they
should be aware of the illustration practices of the supermarket tabloids -
excluding the National Enquirer. For example, some years ago I
noted a story that a UFO had been sited by astronomers at an observatory in
Vermont. I could not think of any observatories in Vermont, I looked inside
and found the story - with an impressive photo of Yerkes Observatory in
Williams Bay, Wisconsin. (I was amused because that is our observatory.)
There was no caption, the story and the photo were simply placed side by side.
I have noticed several other similiar juxtapositions in these tabloids, so I
conclude that the photos are only intended to illustrate the general idea of
the story - to put it as politely as possible. The key is the lack of
captions or extremely vague captions. (It turned out that the UFO report
was from an amateur astronomer in Vermont.)
