Well, my monitor and Amiga finally arrived, and, after a call to Princeton Graphics for a cable wiring description, I wired one up. It works great. All the modes (HAM, hires, interlace) look better than on a 1080, and the only program that I have that does overscan (Photon Paint) works fine in overscan mode. On the back of the monitor the is a button which shrinks the picture size so that overscan fits. (There are also controls for vertical and horizontal size, but this is easier) Flicker in interlace screens is still quite noticeable, but better than a 1080. The biggest pain involved in setting things up was finding a DB-23 connector. I finally bought a plastic DB-25 and hacked two pins off. The A2000 manual is one of the best 'default' (shipped with the computer) manuals I have seen. They actually give you pinouts of all the connectors and custom chips, and the schematics are the most amusing I've seen (They are also useful. But it's good to know that someone at Commodore has a sense of humor.) If anyone has questions about the Ultrasync/A2000 combo, I'll be glad to answer them.
