There is a new professional association in Chicago. GATES, (Gay Association of Technicians, Engineers, and Scientists) met last night to adopt a charter and establish general policy. Briefly, GATES is an organization of Chicago-area gay men and women employed or interested in high-technology fields. Our primary purpose is to provide an opportunity for hi-tech gay men and women to meet and discuss our common concerns. Anyone interested in obtaining more information may write: GATES, POB 14138, Chicago IL 60614. GATES is interested in learning of the existance of other gay professional associations around the country and we would like to exchange newsletters or other information.
