[net.general] Attention Aerospace Professionals

kcarroll (08/23/82)

From the volume of news that goes through net.space, I gather
that a number of Unix users are interested in the space program.
>From some of the net.columbia submissions, it also seems that some of
them work in the aerospace field. Well, so do I, and I'd be interested
to know who else out there does, and what they do for a living. So...

Would all aerospace professionals, and people doing space-related
work (I realize that most Unix users must be programmers by trade)
who would be interested in being contacted by others like themselves,
get in touch with me through network mail? If there is sufficient
response, I was thinking of compiling a directory of you all.
Relevant information would be your mail address, your real
address, your name, what company you work for, and what projects
you are working on / have worked on.
Let me add that I am compiling this information purely out
of personal interest. I am NOT ding something sneaky, like
making lists of people to send junk-mail to (honest!).
If there is sufficient interest in the directory, I'll send out copies
to interested parties; however, if there's any of the above-mentioned
information that you don't want circulated, just say so in your
message to me. Or don't include it at all (I don't see that real
addresses would be very relevant; we all obviously have access
to a faster mail system than the governments').
   Thanks in advance.

                      University of Toronto)
