I've been playing that scenario without "success", and found 1. When I land on either my carrier or the sub carrier, I am *not* refilled. I had to go to SFO to get more stuff. 2. I've thus landed on the sub, turned (alternating 9-10% power and rudder) and straifed the tower: no effect. I fired missles, but they just drop off and explode under my wings. 3. I've dive-bombed both the sub tower and the elevator cover to no effect. 4. I let a sidewinder off at 0' and it went UNDER the sub and appeared at the other side :-(. 5. The cruise missle could not be tempted to change course and follow me back to the sub (I was desperate :->). 6. When I landed on my carrier (see 1.), I could turn around, hold on to a cable, power up, let go, and take off. Unfortunately, I learned the cable trick after I landed on the sub (that takeoff, with brakes only, went splash, but I could sit in the water and wait for MIGs to come in range) I've been not looking at F-18 postings 'cause I didn't want spoilers, but I had to look today. I think going back tonight and just downing all the enemy in the air will be anticlimatic. BTW. I changed all occurances of "df0:" to "f18:" and can mostly play it off a hard disk. I seem to encounter a bug in the circle rendering code of the game that crashes one of the two double-buffered bitplanes under some conditions: it doesn't seem to happen when running under WB off the game as a boot disk, though. Makes it scary to see the sun (one of two circles I know of: the other is my head during the opening of the scenario). At first I thought this was a game "feature" (simulated sun blindness). - Kodiak -- | / _ _|' _ |/ Bob Burns . . . . .---. . |/ (_)(_)|(_\|\ USENET: amiga!kodiak / \ |\ /| | | __ / \ |\ Kodiak \ _______/ A \| \/ |_|_|___|/ A \ | \ Software "Dedicated to the Science of Fun"\_________
