[ "A car is just a big purse on wheels." --Johanna Reynolds ] Attached is the short explaination I prepended to the ARP v1.1 Programmer's Bindings Update that I just shipped off to the moderators at purdue. I hope they will see fit to post this in a timely fashion, as I know many of you are using the ARP facilities in your own development work. If I don't see them posted in a reasonable period of time (2-3 weeks), I'll do the same thing I did with the full ARP v1.1 distribution, and post them to comp.sys.amiga. I got a *lot* of support for doing that, and only one real flame (from a BITNET user, where the Amiga stuff is gateway'd by some mindless daemon, that has an arbitrary bytes/week limit). Posting note: This is the "official" update to the ARP v1.1 programmer bindings and include files. It contains the source and binaries for the Lattice and Manx .o files and lib's, which fix a few bugs. Also, the Manx lib's were compiled with v3.6a of the compiler. The Modula-2 bindings have not been updated. I've taken the liberty of busting apart the braindamaged, recursively embedded arc and EXECME files (which were *wrong* again), and Zoo'd them back together with a correct directory structure, so be *sure* and use Zoo's x// option when unZoo'ing. Then simple replace the old Lattice and/or Manx files in your original v1.1 distribution, with the new ones. And don't forget to replace the "arpbind.h" file in include/libraries, regardless of which compiler you have. This posting is in two parts, and as always, you will need to strip off the mail headers and .signature (if any), feed to sh (or use unshar), cat or join the .uu1 and .uu2 files together to create "arp11upd.uue" (without any blank lines inbetween), uudecode the .uue file, and finally unzoo (with x//). /kim -- UUCP: kim@amdahl.amdahl.com or: {sun, decwrl, hplabs, pyramid, uunet, oliveb, ames}!amdahl!kim DDD: 408-746-8462 USPS: Amdahl Corp.
