[This note sent to the generic ARPAnet amiga-relay address] In the past I've obtained a variety of versions of the UUPC set of programs. As yet, though, I haven't been able to get them to do what I REALLY need them to do, namely: wait for an INCOMING call from a remote system answer the phone allow only a valid login get any mail the remote system wants to send send any mail that is waiting FOR the remote system execute any commands on the remote system that are waiting for the remote system (this last is necessary to be able to get THIS mailing list's traffic sent over to my home machine; I need to be able to do a "remote copy" rather than just having the remote machine mail me the list (too much disk usage)). Extras that would be nice would be for the programs to call OUT to a remote system "on demand" and perform the various UUCP-style commands (I'd be using Amicron for this). Another extra would be MANX source code. Does such a beast (set of beasts?) exist? Where? FTPable? having ALL the functionality of the above? At least autoanswer capability (absolutely necessary)?
