I am responding to Jim Horalek's (horalek@alliant.com) query about the Pacific Peripherals Subsystem 1000 (an expansion box to permit the use of 3 2000 cards on a 1000, with room for a 3.5" disk drive). I hope this is of enough general interest to post rather than email. I spoke with someone from Pacific Peripherals yesterday about the Subsystem 1000. He said that it will cost $299 and should be out in about 8 weeks. He mentioned that design was finished and manufacturing was beginning. He said that to order in 8 weeks you would probably have to order directly from them, as distribution to dealers takes a while. Hope this is of some help.
