[comp.sys.amiga] CSA 32-bit-wide SRAM card

thad@cup.portal.com (07/15/88)

The internal 32-bit-wide RAM card for the CSA 68020/68881 Piggyback card
for the A1000 is a discontinued product and not in stock at CSA.

For reference (CSA part numbers):
     68020/68881 Piggyback = CSA-68020PGY-M
     32-bit-wide RAM card = CSA-68020PGY-893

The RAM card uses Hitachi HM62256LP-8 (80 nS) or HM62256LP-10 (100 nS)
28-pin DIP CMOS SRAMs, organized as 64Kx8.

I called CSA today and they're willing to make a small board run to satisfy
existing customers' requirements for this RAM card.

By `small' I mean that if 4 people are interested, they'll make 6 (selling
4 and keeping 2 in inventory).

Unpopulated board price is $395 (this includes all parts except the SRAM
chips); I didn't ask the fully populated (512K byte) price.

The SRAM chips are available at 'reasonable' prices in this area (Silicon
Valley), so getting an unpopulated board is economically sound.

If you are interested (or know someone who is interested) in getting one of
these RAM cards for the CSA Piggyback for the A1000, please send me e-mail
ASAP, and I'll coordinate everything with CSA; I've been dealing with them
for several years.

I intend calling CSA with the information by Tuesday, July 19, 1988.
