I must be losing my mind. I have just noticed that the operating system clock is %15 fast. To be clear, I am not talking about the battery backed clock (which is fine), but about the operating system's sense of time, i.e the time given by the "date" command. I cannot for the life of me tell if this has just happened, or whether I haven't noticed. What makes this strange, at least to me, is that Delay() seems to know what the real time is. I wrote a program that does nothing but call Delay(60L*50L) and I timed it using a stop watch to take exactly one minute. Can anyone explain why the time is running %15 fast and yet Delay() is exactly right? And I suppose somewhat more importantly, how can I fix my machine? Running fast by %15 is a bit much. Thanks. In my previos aritcle about the fast system clock, I forgot to mention that I have a Rev 4.2 B2000. Sorry about that. Stephe {ucbvax, pacbell, hplabs}!well!sjm or well!sjm@lll-winken.arpa "You heard the weirdo man. What is truth?"
