I just ordered GO-64!, by Software Insight Systems, and felt a little burned when I read the manual. The manual clearly states that "you cannot copy the disk," and in a big bold box says, "WARNING: Attempts to copy GO-64!tm may damage your disk." They do NOT give provisions for sending in a warrantee card (which was _not_ included in the box) and some money and receiving a backup disk. Needless to say, I was not pleased. I legitamately purchased the product (on sale for $18 by some mail order house) to do some 8-bit assembler work, using a C-64 assembler package, rather than writing my own (yes, I have DAsm; I wanted to be able to test code as well as write it on the Amiga). Does anyone have any insight on which program might be able to copy GO-64!? I looked it up on a friend's Maruauder, but with Brain 10, it was not listed. I did a disk scan with some simple utility (I don't remember which one) and got a track read error on track 79 ( I think head 1 ). I did not know how to set up Marauder to copy it properly. From what I've played with it, GO-64! seems to be a pretty solid product, although I would not recommend it to anyone, until I find _some_ way to back it up (even through the authors) I was also not warned by the mail order company that a gender changer was required, even though the asked me what type of Amiga I owned (A1000) Thanks in advance, -ethan -- Ethan R.
