AmigaPDC Release 3: The amiga version of Rel.3 is now available for FTP. This is the same disk that was available at AmiExpo. Thanks for adding it to the distribution! Included are the binaries nessesary to use the compiler, PDC, A68k, Make, Libr, Blink etc... The Include files that I've written so far. Link libraries for libc.a and libm.a (called pdc.lib, pml.lib). A few Benchmarks, source code to some assorted uility programs. A program called Bind that was posted to alt.amiga.sources is also included which reportedly allows use to create a PD amiga.lib from the .fd files. The files AmigaPDC.zoo when dearchived will fit onto one floppy. It does need to be reconfigured before use. All of the source code is in separate .zoo files to help in transfering it to work disks. If you want to recompile the system from floppies it may take up to 10 floppies to hold all of the working files. Currently there are three major varients of the PDC source code released on fish disk #110. Each one is a major rewrite of many of the modules comprising the compiler. Work is underway to try and merge the best features from each version, but I'm sure it's going to be a long process. (I'm quite suprised that each version has some features, and bug fixes that the others don't) I may not be the one doing the final merge, but since I'm the only one in the United States I'll try to use that to the best advantage. As usual I'll try and kept the most recent version of my varient available here. Good Luck Paul Petersen ----------- The file name is /pub/amiga/AmigaPDC.zoo (around 570k) 192.5.69.1 a.cs.uiuc.edu If you find any problems with the code 1) Fix the problem your self and mail me the patch. 2) Or else, Send me the smallest code fragment that causes the problem and I'll either fix the problem or add it to the BUGS list. 3) Or, Just sit on it and don't tell me, and by telepathy I might discover and fix the problem myself (not recomended). -------------- University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign Center for Supercomputing Research and Development UUCP: {uunet, convex}!uiucuxc!uicsrd!petersen ARPANET: petersen%uicsrd@uxc.cso.uiuc.edu CSNET: petersen%uicsrd@uiuc.csnet BITNET: petersen@uicsrd.csrd.uiuc.edu
