[comp.sys.amiga] Affordable hard discs, and C compiler questions

Hi!

I just started reading today, and I didn't see anything about the following:

  1)  I would like to get a hard disc, but the prices for the Amiga are a
      little high.  Any suggestions on who makes a good (affordable (40 MEG))
      hard disc?

  2)  I am also in the market for a C compiler.  What is your favorite, and
      why?  One thing I really need is good portability.

  3)  How about a good C++ pre-processor?  Any suggestions?
