Well, I got my wish. I posted an article a couple of weeks ago asking for a vi-like editor for the amiga. I sure appreciate all the e-mail responses, and apparently it was a happy coincedence that AVI was posted around the same time. So I got the thing and have used it quite a bit, and I find it quite useable, especially considering what's in second place (i.e. shelling out bucks for a MANX compiler to get 'Z'). The only bug I've found that wasn't documented was that the '0' command doesn't work (it's supposed to put the cursor at the beginning of the line, but it seems to be a no-op). I don't really consider the fact that a command colon (:) can't be backspaced over a bug, I'm used to that from the percent shell vi I use on the PC at work. I'll be looking forward to seeing the bugs being fixed, but in the meantime I'm quite happy to have a workable vi-like editor. Randall Henderson
