I am sorry to have to put an ad on the net, but I have been getting a lot of mail sent back with host unknown, so to answer everyone's questions: <Hit n if you don't want to see the product announcement> New Amiga Game: Popman is a fast-paced action game for the Amiga computer. You control a small man whose job is to pop all the balloons on each level. Levels are composed of ladders, rails, bricks, cement blocks, balloons and more. Some balloons are buried, and you must use your digging gun to blast away bricks to get at them. To make play more difficult, enemies are on most levels and their job is to chase you and keep you from popping the balloons. It is something like LodeRunner(TM) and is even more fun to play. The Amiga's capabilities are used to their fullest extent. This is more than just a port of an old game. The game allows you to design your own levels with the mouse. Levels can be immediately play-tested and saved to disk. The graphics and animations are stored as IFF files, so end users may modify them to customize their copy. Levels are stored as normal files and may be copied freely and shared, uploaded and downloaded. The game is not copy-protected to allow for personal backups and more versatile use. After a playing period is over, the game exits gracefully without requiring the user to reboot the machine. However, for the duration of play, the display is devoted to Popman. Popman may be installed on any disk, including the RAM: disk, for very quick loads and saves. The game works with extended memory. Popman is available from: David Ashley 2710 Haste #6 Berkeley, Ca 94704 (415) 540-0992 The price is $20.00. Volume discounts are available.
