I've just shipped MRBackup V2.4 binaries and docs to the moderators. Some highlights: Archive bits are now set correctly (blush). The "expanding compression" feature has been eliminated :-). MRBackup now detects this condition WHEN it happens and switches to a straight copy. I've also added a new "filter" which will allow you to prevent an attempt to compress files whose names match any of a set of patterns (*.IFF, *.GIF, etc.). There's a new Utilities command in the Project menu which provides you with a set of file management services: Compress, Decompress, Copy, Delete, Rename, Set/Clear Archive Bits, Set File Modification Date. I've played with the Intuition stuff a little and have changed all window definitions (except the Progress window) to SIMPLE_REFRESH. This should cut down on memory consumption. I did notice some bad behavior with DMouse 1.09 running (windows not being redrawn correctly), but I observed the same behavior with the WorkBench and when running DMCS, so I'm blaming DMouse. Matt - are you already aware of this? For those of you who don't want to wait for the delay, I've set up a guest uucp account on our UnixPC system. The user name is "guest", no password and the login prompt is "Please login:". Our phone number is 401-847-4130, 1200 baud, system name = amanpt1. Creation of a uucp systems entry is left as an exercise to the reader :-). Currently available are MRBackup.zoo and MRPrint.sh (detabbing, binary file detection, headers, margins, ARP'ed, source) in /usr/spool/uucppublic. Mark -- < Mark R.
