You know, I have had this multitasking discussion with my father many many times. I keep insisting that I need multitasking (one reason for the amiga) and he keeps insisting that he doesn't. Important point there, he doesn't. However, he does wish for some things which can be accomplished on my machine. The ability to edit and compile without leaving the editor (gwd my fingers aren't doing to well). The ability to print and edit at the same time... etc.. I do all of this already. On the 386 Machines at work (running Xunix) and on my amiga. The argument is a constant one. Why does a single user need multitasking? The people who have asked this, almost have never tried it. (oh, I'll do more multitasking when ram prices drop :-) ) brian
