I am proposing a new news group, rec.games.pc for the discussion and exchange of personal computer (not video/cartridge or games available on UNIX/VMS systems) game clues and help. This would include Infocom games, Computer Roleplaying games, graphic adventure games, and any other games available solely for the personal computers. I would also post PC game vendor support messages when I had information pertaining to that. Currently, this discussion goes on in rec.games.misc and various other system based groups. Most games for the personal computers are now ported to most systems, and having a central newsgroup in order to support these games makes sense. This would also allow rec.games.misc to be what it says; namely a group to discuss games that are not covered by other groups, instead of the default repository for PC based games. This would be an unmoderated group. I would request that when messages contain spoilers, that the word "spoiler" be contained in the subject. When the message contains spoilers that could be based on the actual version of the game, that the version (IBM, Apple, etc) be put in the message. Please vote by E-mail to the addresses listed in the signature file below. DO NOT POST YOUR VOTES! In order to succeed, there needs to be 100 more yes votes than no votes.
