Hi. About three months ago I purchased a Star NX1000 Rainbow printer. Ever since then I've had problems printing out color bitmap pictures. Sometimes when printing, the printer's ribbon will jam on one color, usually blue. At that time it will also indent a bit to the left. After that, the printer will continue to print with four passes, but it will print those four passes in the same color it jammed in. This seems to be completely random. It occurs with all myt programs. Pictures that print fine one time, will jam at other times usually in different places. Strangely, this never occurs with color text. Both of Star's service centers in my area couldn't replicate the problem. I kinda think it was because all they did were color text diagnostics. One of them even admitted that they didn't have a program for there IBM that printed color text (neither had Amigas) Star and my dealer didn't have any answers and neither would take it back. What I wanted to ask y'all is if any of you have NX1000s or my problem, and is there any way to fix it. Star said that the NX1000 was compatible with the Epson X series, I've used both the 1.3 EpsonX driver and the 1.2 JX80. Both result in the same problems, so I doubt the problem is outside of the printer.
