>Also, I still can't use my jh0: concurrently with any BridgeBoard(tm) - side >program that uses either the com1 port or the floppy. When any Amiga-DOS(tm) >program accesses the jh0:, I either lose chars on com1, or lose the floppy >transfer (you know - Abort, Retry, Ignore, Get a real OS? :-). Was this problem >ever identified as a bug? I finally gave up trying to get an answer (I didn't >know how to run usenet at the time, the phone calls and time were excessive). I don't think that this is really a bug, but a consequence of trying to do too many things with an OS that is designed to do one thing at a time. Basically, the PC side has to try to access the HD for the Amiga while doing a task like read from disk or send to com:. These tasks are very time sensitive, so if the i/o is interrupted by the Amiga side, the PC side screws up and gives you an error message. This is why I pulled my HD off the PC side and use it only on the Amiga side. The PC side can request for access to the Ami HD without confusing the Amiga. -- ----------------------------------------------------------------------- || commodore || _ __ __ ___ _ Coniah Chuang || /\\ |\ || || / \\ /\\ Envoy100: Chuang.C || / \\ |\\ /|| || || __ / \\ Usenet : ccami@van-bc || /__ \\ | \\ / || || || || /__ \\ Snail : 1322 East 59th Ave. ||/ \\| \X || || \__||/ \\ Vancouver, BC V5X 1Z1 -----------------------------------------------------------------------
