This is directed to anyone out there using E/A's Deluxe PhotoLab, specifically the POSTER program. My config is: vintage Oct '85 A1000, 512K Chip, 2Meg Starboard2, 20Meg SupraDrive, running all the latest versions of everything. The problem is: Four out of Four times that I have loaded up the POSTER program and printed out a poster on my Epson JX80 (color) printer, after quitting POSTER my DOS goes absolutely nutz. My hard drive is not recognized, normal DOS commands don't work, etc. etc. Upon normal warm-reboot, SupraMount won't mount. Try it once, twice, three times, no go. I have to re-KICKstart my machine to get SupraMount to work again and mount my hard drive. I can repeat this every single time without failure to fail. :-/ Other stuff I normally run: FACC with 200 buffers and FACCtion, VirusX (now running 1.71), a custom keymap (created with SetKey so I can do DOS commands with my function keys), but really nothing else. My hardware is all rock-stock out of the box. I don't have ANY other software which clobbers SupraMount like this. Before I go yell at E/A, has anyone else had DOS go nutz after printout with POSTER? I saw one other complaint about this very same thing on a BBS tonite: a guy had just bought PhotoLab and tried Poster and said DOS went crazy after he quit the program. He's ready to go get a refund. I'm ready to start writing a review about it. Anyone with similar experiences?? Thanks Harv Laser, Sysop, The People/Link AmigaZone.
