I've noticed a phenomenon with my new 2000. I have 2 internal floppies, and I've noticed that when I access one or more of these guys, my monitor screen dims every-so-slightly. Now I've got this nasty old ribbon cable connecting my monitor (a Sony) to the 23 pin connector. Has anyone seen this sort of behavior before? If it's related to that ribbon cable, could someone give me some suggestions about how I might shield it? I will consider buying a new cable if I can get some assurance that it really could be the problem. I have noticed a similiar phenomenon when my 2000 boots up. I have two internal floppies and a bridgeboard with and internal 5.25 and external 3.5. When booting up the bridge starts reading its drives while the Amiga is booting away from its drives and as the drives read I see a dimming of my 1080 screen that is definately occuring as the drive lights come on and off. So I don't think it has anything to do with your monitor hookup, just some sort of power surge as all the drives read at once. I have not looked to see if it also occurs after bootup if I access two or more drives, but suspect it would. Russ Jacobson
