Moving farther afield, the latest issue of Computers in Physics mentions the Amiga twice. One article is called "3-D Amiga Images For the Physics Classroom", by David McKinstry, Eastern Washington University. He's generated some very nice-looking 3-d images of potentials, Mandelbrot stes, etc., in AmigaBasic. The other article is "Interaction of U(1) Cosmic Strings: Numerical Intercommutation", by Richard Matzner at U. Texas, Austin. His calculations were done on a Cray, but he mentions at the end of the article that the graphics for the article were rendered on an Amiga using a Tektronix emulator. -dan riley (dsr@lns61.tn.cornell.edu, dsr@crnlns.bitnet) -wilson lab, cornell u.
