I just got Excellence the other day. It's a pretty impressive program, but I've found one bug. I have a perfectly ordinary text file, and no matter what it's named, with or without the .doc extention, excellence locks up when you try to get it to display the files in any directory it's in. That is, if I have the file in the root directory of the disk, and try to open a file on that disk, excellence displays the first 2 or three files for that disk, then locks upp for about 3 or 4 minutes. The gadgets still flash, but excellence ignores everything for a while. Evenutally, the file requestor vanishes, and everything else works fine again. It's really quite incredible. I tried copying the file, renaming it, examining it for control characters, etc ... Eventually I got it to load by adding a few letters on a blank line at the beginning of the file. I haven't reported this to them yet. I wondered if anyone else had seen this problem before I told them about it. It's really wierd it only happens with this one file.
