If Commodore chooses to be off-handed about people spreading around beta copies of their new OS, that's their business. However, most businesses have beta testers sign legally binding non-disclosure agreements, saying that they will keep their mouths shut. The gentleman in question (apparently) signed no agreement and posted information about the beta software to the net... decidedly not ideal. I think that in this case the reaction of the community at comp.sys.atari.st is entirely justified. Although I agree with your opinion (that the community on comp.sys.atari.st is not so harmonious as that of this newsgroup) I think that your specific example is incorrect. -- /|\ /|\ .. . . . . . . . . . . | |\| |\| .. . . . . . . . . . . |/|\|/|\|/|| _ _ _ _ |_| _ _ |_ -__ _ _ARPA: lupin3@ucscb.ucsc.EDU | |/| |/|L_ (_\( ( (_/ | |(_\_) (_ || )(_)_)UUCP: *!ucbvax!ucscc!ucscb!lupin3 \|/ \|/ larry / hastings _/ WORK: sun!acad!metaware!funkster MetaWare "I wish people who have trouble communicating would just shut up."\\\ IncorporateDisclaimer:[MetaWare, UCSC]->opinion!=lhastings->opinion\\\Tom Lehrer
