Netters: Once again I am here to ask if anyone knows the whereabouts of program suites which allows an Amiga to become a Usenet node. At last recall, I know(knew) of two versions, UUpc and AmigaUUCP. I have a copy of UUpc, but I wish to obtain a newer version of it if one exists. I'd like to also obtain a copy of AmigaUUCP if it is available. To those who distribute the above mentioned programs: where can I find you and what do you require for me to get your programs? Right now, I am attempting to set up a private communication link between myself and a few other friends who have/will have Amigas. We would like to send messages to each other, but wish the message transfer process to be AUTOMATIC. That is to say, with the appropriate software loaded at the transmitting and receiving systems, the message transfer process will be done at a given time without human assistance. This is considered a requirement, so to the authors/distributers/users of UUpc and AmigaUUCP: Can such a process be done between *2 AMIGAs* which has your software running? From looking at the source code/docs of UUpc, I'm not so sure. I have no idea what AmigaUUCP does. This does not mean that these are the only pieces of software that I am interested in. BBS software which has the capability I speak of would be of interest to me, too. To anyone who can help, please send Email. Thanks to everyone in advance! Mark K.
