A friend of mine is starting to have funkiness in the disk drives in his 1000. Since my drives have been trouble-free, I haven't paid much attention to traffic on here about disk utilities, and frankly don't know where to start looking. Question #1: is there a diagnostic program for Amiga disk drives, to help pin down exactly what the problem might be? Question #2: (Dave Haynie, or whoever else knows) DiskSalv 1.2 was rumored to be out. How can I get it? (I have FTP access if that helps). Question #3: (Bay Area Amigans) who gives good service around here if it should turn out that his drive(s) are foobar? He has been going to Weenie's Circle, but would like to find a place that is a little more conscientious in their servicing. If you find these questions of general interest, post your answer.
