I went and looked at Mandril, to see what it was. It is a picture of some ape-like face in high resolution 16 color mode. I do not know why it does not work with 1.2, but I know some things about it. Mandril is an executable file. It can only be run from workbench. It contains all the data for the picture within the program--no IFF back then! Just for fun, I saved the data. I now have an IFF picture file that also contains the color table. The only problem is that it is is over 400 lines high, I think 420 or 440 or something. It can be loaded it with painting programs that correctly clip it, though. The bottom lines are cut off. Anyway, if enough people want the file I will upload from my Amiga to this account (I am working at 1200 baud, so do not want to do that if no one is interested in getting it) and email it or put it on UCBVAX.
