   We are currently accepting applicants for a Commodore Amiga Technical
Support Programmer I position.  We are interested in receiving applications
from programmers, and also from hardware-oriented individuals with some

   Position:  Software Engineer - Support Programmer I 

   Department:  Software

   Reports to:  C. Scheppner


   Duties and Responsibilities:

      Study and program new Amiga systems and peripherals
      Provide phone and network support to software developers
      Provide in-house technical support
      Research and provide solutions for developer questions and problems
      Program utilities and examples
      Write technical articles  
      Handle developer bug reports
      Beta-test new system and development software
      Handle technical administrative duties such as digesting network
         conferences and coordinating/proofreading Amigamail submissions

   Skills and Education:

      At least 1 year microcomputer programming experience
      Experience in C, micro assembler (preferably 68000), BASIC
      Programming discipline for clean, concise, safe code
      Unix knowledge and telecommunications experience helpful
      Basic understanding of digital electronics
      Ability to communicate complex technical information, both verbally
         and in writing
      Familiar with the Amiga operating system
