Now that ASGD is actually threatening to make the 2000-1 box, I need some information before plunking down my $100 deposit. Are there any good disk controllers available for the Zorro I boxes? Trading in my old ASDG box for the 2000-1 or trading in my 1000 on a 2000 seem to be rather expensive ways to get the ability to run a hard disk. (I'd rather not hang a drive off the parallel port, especially since mine isn't working right now). It probably wouldn't have been practical to sell, but I've been wishing someone would make a 2000-1 type box shaped like a tall 2000 with space to bolt my old 1000 motherboard in the bottom. It wouldn't be a 2000, but it would keep the bus connection inside and there wouldn't be a wart hanging off the end. I suppose I could just leave things the way they are and wait for the "Amiga 3000", "Mac 3", "Next 1.1", .... Harold Ravlin hr@spica.astro.uiuc.edu
