[comp.sys.amiga] Amiga Weather Station

matt@utastro.UUCP (Matt Wood) (09/30/88)

I seem to remember that sometime back there was talk of a program
for the Amiga that would call the weather service and bring
over the satellite images. What ever became of this beast?

Our group is currently involved in an international astronomical
collaboration that we call 'The Whole Earth Telescope.' We run
an interactive network of observers around the globe, either
once or twice per year (depending on the availability of funding
and manpower). Because we run the system interactively, it could
be extremely useful to us to have convienient access to all
those beautiful satellite images.

If anyone can e-mail me more (hopefully detailed) information,
please do!
